David’s areas of expertise are technical due diligence, project monitoring, party wall and neighbourly matters, building pathology, and expert witness. His involvement with external bodies includes writing RICS Guidance Notes, chair of RICS TDD Guidance Note Editorial Working Group, RICS ISURV editorial board, co-founder/co-chair of Freehold, LandAid Fundraising Committee, Chartered Surveyors’ Company Marketing & Communications Committee and Revo Community Engagement Committee.

He is the key client partner for Legal & General and M&G and his other clients include Aviva, Oxford Properties, Merchant Taylors’, Land Securities, Knight Frank Investment Management, Morgan Capital, Langham Jones & Partners, CBRE Investment Management and St Bride’s.

I enjoy helping to create something tangible for people to use and enjoy – it’s a great job if you are nosy! I also love boring my friends and family by telling them how proud I am of what TFT does. By nature, I’m analytical and inquisitive, with a slight obsession to detail, but I’m able to understand what parts of the detail my clients need to know.

Skydiving

I live in Clapham with my partner, Glen, and our Staffie Lurcher cross Jessica. I love urban living and am lucky to be surrounded by many friends to share my social and cultural life within London and further afield.

I am particularly passionate about making the real-estate sector more diverse and inclusive for all, and have been immensely proud of what Freehold has achieved in a relatively short time and the great friends I have made as a result. When I can get my mother to understand what I do, it’s going to be time to retire…
