TFT undertook a complete refurbishment of a semi derelict basement flat through its interior design and contract administration services.

The works involved the reconfiguration of the existing boiler rooms and ancillary space in the basement of the property to form a large two bedroom flat, along with a small extension in the rear courtyard to create a utility room space.

The existing yard was converted into a courtyard garden as part of the works. The works also included full damp proofing of the partially flooded basement, insulation to meet current standards, conversion of the existing pavement vault into an ensuite bathroom and full fit out to provide a high quality residence.

Its location in a conservation area and the need to create a light and airy space meant that the extension needed to be very sympathetically designed. The project has created a high end residential flat which the client is now able to bring to the lettings market in excellent condition with a high standard of finishes throughout.
