Birmingham Property Companies Come Together To Help The Local Homeless
Over twenty Birmingham property businesses joined forces last week (Tuesday, 9 March 2010) to raise £4,500 for local homeless charity, St Basils.
The event, a charity pub quiz, was organised by TFT's Birmingham office. Attendees ranged from investors such as SEGRO and property specialist law firms including Eversheds and Shoosmiths, to constructions firms, property agents and consultants such as Environ.
The event took place at the Apres Bar, Summer Row and was won by the team from law firm Hill Hofstetter. At the close of proceedings TFT's Birmingham based Managing Partner, Alan Pemberton presented a cheque to St Basils Head Of Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships, Lucy Hackett for the sum of £4,469.
Lucy Hackett says: "We were delighted that Tuffin Ferraby Taylor was able to bring together so many businesses involved with property in Birmingham to raise money for St Basils. We are thrilled with the success of this event and the generosity of everyone taking part. To raise a staggering £4,469 in one evening is fantastic and this will provide a vital contribution to the funds we need to raise each year to continue our work in preventing youth homelessness in Birmingham. We'd like to thank everyone for helping us to help young people transform their lives."
