TFT Launches TFT M+E Consultancy

TFT now has a dedicated M&E service - TFT M+E Consultancy - which adds independant building services insights to our core work in building and property consultancy.

Headed up by Fergal Rogers, a widely respected M&E engineer, TFT M+E Consultancy provides an M+E and associated service capability through every office.

Third party M+E Consultants continue to provide highly expert opinion although this is now totally integrated into the core reporting. TFT M+E Consultancy takes a collaborative approach but on a peer to peer basis, considering M&E issues at the earliest stages of the instruction and bringing external consultants into the project where appropriate.

TFT M+E Consultancy works in partnership with both TFT and any external M&E practice ensuring a seamless approach to both the reporting and execution of the works.

The wider perspective now flows into our Technical Due Diligence (TDD) reporting which can be tailored to cover more bespoke technical information such as the building's occupancy capacity, noise issues, power consumption and controls obsolence plus a number of other M+E criteria designed to increase the quality and efficacy of the reporting back to the client.

The TDD reporting is further enhanced by evidence-based conclusions, either by calculation or active measurement and greater data substantiation.

TFT's Dilapidations work is also taken to a new level with enhanced refrigeration expertise, performance assessments against commissioned data, improved alternatives to replacing any 'loss' and Operations and Maintenance reviews.

This translates into a more rounded, wider scoped but seamless report for clients where M+E integrates closely with the central reporting rather than being merely an adjunct to the core report.

The process brings an even greater focus on design & build innovation and sustainable practice at a time of continual change and improvement within building services technology.

By channelling the M&E like this, we deliver relevant reporting that is client-centred, enabling decisions to be taken quicker and from a wider viewpoint.
