Asbestos
Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, any non-domestic property over eight years old must have an asbestos management plan, such as those provided by an asbestos survey.
TFT has fully qualified specialists who will carry out an asbestos survey to determine, as far as is reasonably practicable, the presence of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) and suspected ACMs within your building or premises.
Once the level of asbestos presence is known, we offer you all the necessary guidance you need in order to efficiently, effectively and sensibly manage the asbestos, whether that be control measures and monitoring of asbestos containing materials that are in good condition or the safe removal of materials that constitute a hazard.
Results are recorded in an asbestos register, identifying as far as is reasonably practical, the location, extent and product type of any presumed or known asbestos containing materials and its accessibility, condition and any surface treatment.
Our asbestos surveyors are qualified to undertake both presumptive and sampling surveys as defined by the Health & Safety Executive’s publication, Methods for the Determination of Hazardous Substances 100(MDHS 100): “Surveying, sampling and assessment of asbestos containing materials” (July 2001).
