Richard Aitchison
Richard is head of project monitoring & construction lending support at TFT and a partner of the Bristol office. His areas of expertise include project monitoring, project consultancy and technical due diligence (TDD). He is a member of the RICS Project Monitoring Working Group and was a significant contributor to the RICS Project Monitoring guidance note used by RICS members across the world.
In recent years, Richard’s focus has been predominantly on project monitoring TDD and developing the monitoring service line. At the current time, he is monitoring £1 billion-plus of development projects across the UK and Europe. Richard is increasingly working in Europe, and has undertaken TDD in Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden and Poland. Clients include investors, lenders and tenants across major sectors including retail, office, industrial, residential and student accommodation.

My passion for work is only matched by my following of Bath’s mighty rugby team combined with pilgrimages to the hallowed Bath Rec ground.
I am a keen walker and trekker, getting boots on ground as diverse as the Alps, the White Mountains in Crete, Sardinia, Norway, the Brecon and, recently, the Himalayas. I am also a recent convert to skiing and have a love of music, whether listening to new bands, attending gigs, attending the End of the Road Festival or stewarding at Glastonbury.
