Probably my most important piece of work while at TFT was leading the ongoing development, refurbishment and asset management projects across Green Park in Reading, which is a high-profile business park home to more than 50 companies and 6,000 staff. I have been fortunate to work with the original developer PRUPIM (M&G), and subsequent owners Oxford Properties and now Mapletree, which over the past 10 years has included managing in excess of £150m of new developments and refurbishment projects.
I enjoy building and managing teams of driven and talented people to create attractive, sustainable and high-quality workspaces. The output of our efforts is tangible, in terms of the physical building, but what is particularly rewarding is the commercial and technical value we give to our clients.
I’m happily married and have two young sons, who take up most of my time – which I love. When I do get some time to myself, you will find me in the gym, on the golf course or relaxing with good food and fine (or average) wine! Having retired from a long rugby-playing career five years ago, I now coach my son’s U7 mini rugby team.
