Nick Horne
Nick is a Director based in the London office and is part of the Building Surveying team. As a Chartered Building Surveyor, Nick has gained experience in a broad range of projects and instructions including technical due diligence, vendor and pre-acquisition surveys, contract administration, dilapidations and development and fund monitoring.
Nick has worked on many notable instructions including acting as the lead consultant for a number of large scale acquisition surveys, lead consultant for the remodelling of a leisure/retail complex and is currently monitoring a £55m Buy to Rent development in East London. Nick maintains working relationships with M&G, Grainger, Railpen and Abrdn.
He is also a member of the Surveyors Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and is an associate member of the Association of Project Safety.

I have a passion for Building Surveying and enjoy the wide variety of instructions and projects that I have been involved in from a due diligence inspection of the residential apartments within The Shard to office to residential conversions in Covent Garden.
Prior to qualifying as a Building Surveyor, I completed a degree in Estate Management in the early 1990’s. In between gaining these two qualifications I also spent a significant time in a client facing role within the media industry working at some of the largest media outlets including ITV and TalkSport.
My home life is family oriented, with a list of DIY projects from my wife and a list of bike rides to do with my son. Whenever possible, I try to get out in the fresh air indulging my current passion for cycling having competed in the L’Etape du Tour (a mountain stage of the Tour de France) on several occasions.
