Bill has over 40 years’ experience in structural engineering including commercial, retail, residential, educational and hospitals and during that time has gained recognition as a leading specialist in the repair / refurbishment of historic / listed buildings including Regent Street Disease, RSD, and conservation management reporting, damage mitigation from tunnelling beneath city centre buildings, (Jubilee Line and Cross Rail), and in disaster management where over the past 30 years he has been involved with the consequences of many of the major disaster and terrorist incidents in the UK providing post event building recovery and renewal expertise to property owners, developers, designers and managers including the 2005 Buncefield Oil Depot explosion.
Bill sat on the RICS President’s Commission for Major Disaster Management, leading the research and development of protocols for government agencies, NGO’s, contractors, architects and consultants and independently writing many papers
