Seth Love-Jones
Seth is a Bristol-based Senior Director and a member of the TFT Executive with business operations responsibilities. He provides strategic surveying, construction and property services to clients and specialises in the retail, logistics, trade counter, office, leisure and technology sectors. His expertise is in technical due diligence (TDD), dilapidations and programme management.
Being a chartered building surveyor with a mixed background as both a consultant building surveyor and as a client side corporate real estate manager, Seth combines the skills to provide a unique perspective and a valuable interface with client organisations.
His most notable instructions include the programme management of fire safety risk assessment and improvement for a wide range of clients and property types. He has also managed and delivered the TDD on the majority of acquisitions in the UK and Europe for clients including Amazon and Screwfix’s over the past 10 years. For Screwfix, he provided many aspects of property support taking a fledgling business with less than 50 trade counters to a market leader with more than 600.
In addition, he has other current working relationships with clients including Wincanton, EQT Exeter, Grosvenor and more.

One of the really great things about my role is being able to look at the property world through a wide-angle lens, taking in property strategy, portfolio-wide issues and the management and resourcing of large-scale roll-outs, acquisitions and disposals. My work with Screwfix – a favourite commission of mine – started out as a review of the acquisition and fit-out process back in the early days of their growth. Screwfix’s hunger for expansion has also expanded our role with them, supporting their acquisition programme with due diligence work to help them get to more than 600 trade-counter sites across the UK.
Another favourite project was advising the bid team of a major hotel group, going around Europe to look at the condition and enhancement opportunities of a number of five-star hotels. Unfortunately, their bid was unsuccessful, but I did get to stay in some fabulous hotels during the course of the inspections! I am a keen cyclist and founder member of TFT’s Strava club. I enjoy the outdoors and also the four-wheel thrills of motorsport – I’m sure I could give Lewis Hamilton a run for his money if only I could fit into the cockpit of a F1 car!
