TFT was appointed as Project Manager, Cost Consultant, Sustainability Consultant and Principal Designer to support the client in delivery of a turnkey contractor project.

A central aspect of our work was preparing and implementing bespoke development sustainability principles for our client. These included waste and energy monitoring, low-VOC products and materials, as well as responsible supply chain sourcing.

For this 1,553sq ft Cat B office fit-out, we delivered an open plan office, board room, executive office, comms room, phone room and tea point. We took a detailed and involved approach to delivering partitioning, finishes, lighting upgrades, data and power installations, furniture installation, dedicated cooling to comms room, in order to create a more sustainable, healthy and comfortable environment for the incoming occupiers to enjoy.

TFT worked closely with the contractor, client, property manager, and incoming tenant to deliver the project on budget and within the target timescale for the tenant to occupy the unit.

Associate/Associate Director Mechanical Engineer

Key accountabilities and deliverables

Associate Project Manager

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of the London development and project consultancy team, providing high calibre project management services to high end commercial clients. You will deliver current workload, including investor led refurbishment, added value and new build schemes across commercial office, residential, retail and industrial asset classes, as well as build relationships with existing and new clients. Key accountabilities

  1. Primarily working within the commercial sector, undertaking: Project management services on office, retail, residential (and other) new build, refurbishment, alteration, extension, and fit-out projects on schemes typically ranging from £2m to £30m, but with some far in excess of this, and Contract Administration and Employer’s Agent Role
  2. Enhance TFT’s service offering for project delivery
  3. Good working knowledge of key JCT contracts, including experience in contractual issues such as extension of time, loss and expense claims etc.

Lead Fund Monitoring Surveyor

This is an excellent opportunity to work with the Partner in Charge of Monitoring to lead the Development monitoring service line across TFT, forging relationships with both internal and external investment and institutional clients to deliver market leading consultancy advice. The role can be based from any of our offices but you must be willing to travel so a driving licence is required.

As well as working to develop and grow the service line, you will be working with existing clients such as Railpen, Aviva Investors, Legal & General, Grainger, Knight Frank Investment Management, GIC, abrdn, and M&G delivering on a range of high profile projects across several sectors, including industrial, office, purpose built student accommodation and build to rent.

As a commercially focused consultant, you will be helping us to grow our Development Monitoring services, maintain and further develop client relationships and diversify the range of our current service offering, as well as progressing your own career. You will be expected to help lead the service line and support the below actions:

  • Lead the service line working group – coordinating business development, marketing, resourcing, and knowledge sharing, across all offices
  • Champion the service line internally; driving improvements to working practices including templates and quality control
  • Advocate and oversee operational and process improvement, promoting innovation and new ways of working.
  • Drive and manage consistency and adherence to best practice
  • Promote the service line externally for new and existing clients, supporting marketing as required

  • Good level of experience in (and ideally specialising in) Project Monitoring for investment clients.
  • Good understanding of development and funding process gained through extensive Project management experience.
  • Good technical knowledge and experience in construction projects
  • Excellent report writing skills (concise, clear, grammatically correct)
  • Existing monitoring client base with potential to generate new work and introductions
