Margherita Pende
Margherita is an Associate Director based in the London office and is part of the Project Consultancy team. A Full Member of the Association for Project Management, Margherita joined TFT in 2019 and qualified as a Chartered Architect in 2012. Having started her career as an architect, Margherita has a strong understanding of the design process that facilitates the management and planning of projects, from initial feasibility through to completion.
Prior to her move into project management, she completed commercial projects up to £35m with lead London developers as an architect and lead designer. Her main expertise as project manager is in delivering commercial refurbishment and newbuild schemes for both landlords and tenants.
She is involved in a number of ‘value add’ projects with interesting challenges such as refurbishing five levels of office accommodation above two storeys of active retail units in busy Regent Street, London. In addition, she has experience working on an extensive mews refurbishment with roof extensions and new basement within a conservation area.
Margherita believes that the multi-disciplinary environment of TFT adds value to the services the company provides to its clients and improves the professional development and knowledge of its employees.
Ciao!
I am originally from Genoa, on the beautiful coast of Italy, which is also where I completed my tertiary education before moving to London.
I am a chartered architect, but after some time in the role, I found myself interested in the overall planning and management of projects, which led me to focus on project management. I still very much use my architectural background, notably when running projects, recognising the importance of good design and team coordination.
Outside of the office, I like to go to exhibitions and to the theatre, especially to see dance performances. I have been practicing ballet and contemporary dance since I was four years old and if I wasn’t in construction, I would have probably become a ballerina! I took part in my first LandAid 5k in 2019 alongside the sprightly TFT team which was fun, but much harder than ballet!
