In 2018, TFT was appointed as project manager on this exciting Grade A new build office development in the heart of Wimbledon.

The building is circa 93,000sq ft with 10 stories above ground, as well as a double basement.

The masterplan for the area – which set the maximum achievable building height to 10 stories – was not adopted at the point of determination, resulting in an extremely complex planning strategy. Ultimately, the quality of the design, materials and sustainable measures helped to build the case to justify the height of the building.

TFT provided daylight and sunlight advice to support the planning application and establish the post-development light levels to the neighbouring residential properties. We also worked closely with our sustainability team to ensure the new office development obtained the daylight BREEAM credits available.

TFT’s role not only as project manager, but also as sustainability consultant and rights of light surveyor, were integral in leading the team achieve the required consent.

TFT project management is now leading completion of the design and procurement, with works due to commence on site in September and complete in 2023.
