Iso Omena, which translates as the big apple, is a large Finnish shopping centre with residential, office and parking accommodation as well as incorporating a library for the local authority. The survey was undertaken at short notice in December, and the survey team arrived as the snow was falling. The inspection was completed just before the site was completely covered.The team included UK surveyors, environmental and M&E specialists, a materials testing company with Finnish engineers and cost consultants.We supported GIC Real Estate with the assessment of the viability of purchase, including reviewing ongoing service charge issues and proposed alterations and extensions.
